We walked to the Konditorei, a European bakery. They were almost out of all the breakfast pastries but I was able to snatch up 2 almond croissants that were very good! We then took a walk to check out the village and all the shops along the way. I love all the flowers all over, and all the container plantings. Pretty and colorful. Village checked out, we went to Haley to grocery shop. There are 2 markets in Ketchum but they did not have as good of a variety as the Albertsons in Haley. Thus Rick, Jack, and I went on our merry way.
Back at the apartment, we unloaded, had lunch and put Connor down. We have plans to go to the 18 hole putting course today (Thunderstorms in the forecast) so it's probably not a good idea to go golfing. I am excited to go see what this 18 putting course is all about...
Hours have now passed...
We had a great time on the putting course. I can't say that I was a savant but I was definitely not the worse. The course was a lot of fun and playing with Tim, Leslie, Michael, Nancy, Bob and Rick definitely made it a lot more fun. There were some BAD shots... Rick and Tim both had a hole in one. So there were good shots too... ..The club house was beautiful! I loved all the wood and stonework. The sky threatened to rain the entire time we were out there but it never rained.
After the putting, we came back to the apartment for some appetizers and dinner. Dinner tonight was Taco bar. We were all ready to not to have to go out so that was a part of our grocery list this morning. I made both beef and chicken tacos and we quickly devoured the dinner. It was a very good idea. Fast, and serves a lot of people.
Once it was Connor's bedtime, people left and the house got really quiet.
My impression of SunValley:
It's a very beautiful place. The backdrop of the mountain and all the grass, flowers and trees make it a very beautiful resort. It's like a college campus where things are dispersed in various parts of the resort but everything is beautifully manicured and cared for. The lodge and club house look magnificent. I really love how expansive and great they look. the wood structures against the backdrop of nature makes it a beautiful place to visit. When you are here, you can tell, rich folks run this place. It is a very high end place.
